About the artists:

Trapped In Kansas formed in 2008 and have been on an exciting journey ever since. This multinational 4-piece have become one of the most talked about and critically praised bands of the past couple of years in Scotland. Chris, Finn, Gregor and Iain create mathematically intricate music that is both thought provoking and sonically magnificent.

Immediately on release of their first recordings the boys were offered a slot at King Tuts in Glasgow. Since then they have not looked back and have played festivals such as goNorth, T In The Park, Rockness, headlined Oxjam Glasgow and have also done live sessions for Radio 1 and Air 3. Support slots have included amazing bands like Mimas, Pulled Apart By Horses, Rolo Tomassi and Tubelord.

Trapped In Kansas have built up a strong reputation on the Scottish music scene and it can only be a matter of time before they cause as much of a stir much further afield.

What the press think:

“Acute melodic sensibility and complex blend of airy jazziness with truckloads of intricate guitar-work” -The List

“They channel the spirit of the Mars Volta away from the excesses of jazz obscurantism and towards the relative safety of post-rock. Some impressive fret-board virtuosity” – The Skinny

“Scotland’s most accomplished math rock act” – Scotsman Under the Radar

Yahweh – Loops, guitars, tapes, voices, surface noise, incidental noise, accidental noise, drum machines, glitches, self-indulgence and self-deprication with a wry humour and a flair for melody; Yahweh is all of these things. The musical project of 20 year old Lewis Cook, Yahweh has carved its own niche with the debut album, ‘Tug of Love’ and subsequent exhaustive touring with a collective of musicians across the country from festivals to intimate house performances. After a suitable rest and time for contemplation, Yahweh returns with ‘Make Me Stop’.

What the press think:

“An alt-folk revelation, combining the wry lyricism of Arab Strap with subtle bursts of electronica and sampling.” – Scotsman Under the Radar

“Boldly mixing atmospheric electronica and rampant glitches with dreamy folk textures to create a truly captivating and entrancing sound.” – The List

“Yahweh’s epic, electro-drone-acoustica reveals a real talent.” – The Skinny
