Goings on
Hello everyone. Here’s an update on what our bands and the label are up to at the moment.
Conquering Animal Sound
CAS have finished their debut album, which will be released on Gizeh/mini50 in early 2011 and is called Kammerspiel. It’s going to be awesome. They’ll be touring in November to support the record.
They’re playing two shows this weekend supporting the wonderful Zola Jesus.
The Glad Cafe in Glasgow has used Giant by Conquering Animal Sound in their promotional video too. Worth a watch. The Glad Cafe also have a compilation out on 45 A-Side Records which features a brand new, and thoroughly amazing new Conquering Animal Sound track, Plinth. You can listen to it or buy the whole compilation which also features Debutant and Yahweh (and many more excellent Scottish bands). All proceeds go towards setting up the cafe in Glasgow.
Debutant
Phil has sadly decided to hang up his Debutant boots. Reasons are unclear, and even a skinful of booze didn’t change that, but he’s very busy with Meursault and we wish him well. He’ll be playing a couple of last gigs which we’ll tell you about very soon.
Trapped in Kansas
TiK have a lot of shows coming up, including a Scottish Tour, with more being booked as we speak.

You can watch a frankly bizarre video of people listening to the Trapped in Kansas side of the split single, see some photos of Trapped in Kansas from our recent Glasgow single launch show
Yahweh
Lewis is currently travelling round India, but on his return Yahweh will be playing a load of gigs.
They’ll be playing with Mice Parade and Silje Nes at Stereo, Glasgow on 8th October.
Lewis has contributed to a spoken word compilation called Speak! which has a great line up, and all the money goes to Shelter Scotland.
Gerry Loves Records
We’re very busy at the label promoting the bands we have at the moment and readying our third release. We’ll be spilling the beans on that very soon, and it should hopefully come out in December.
