Field Mouse

Field Mouse is Jay Kural, a sonic phenomenon based in the Clyde Valley. Working around the confines of genre, Field Mouse blends hip
hop, electronica and acoustic sounds into a blur of breaks, ambience and melody. Found sound, vinyl samples and synths mesh together in a wide haze that hints at influences from Daedelus or Múm, with glancing rays of instrumental pop sun through his deliciously beat-heavy programming. This split EP marks his debut release for Gerry Loves, after a slew of remixes and compilation appearances in the last eighteen months. Featuring vocal contributions from Yahweh and Conquering Animal Sound alongside live favourites “Toy” and “Leaf Origami”, the EP precedes plans for a full length album in 2012.
